It’s the day after President Cyril Ramaphosa’s speech to South Africa. I’ve already mentioned in a previous blog that we will have a LOCK DOWN for 21 days from Friday, 27 March 2020. It’s for the best of the country and I have to admit that I was surprised by how he closed his speech. We have a man who is truly trying his utmost to put the needs of the country above his own gain.
His speech had the correct ring of authority as the President of the country, the call and appeal to the citizens of South Africa to listen and obey what he has asked and a heart felt cry of a man crying out to God on behalf of his people.
We will be listening and obeying the dictates of the President. We will be trusting God to inspire, lead, guide us over the next twenty-one days and even months for His guidance and wisdom. I think this time will be a time of amazing song writing, crying out to God and on a more down-to-earth wisdom, figure out how to navigate being house bound with the whole family with no where to go but home. It’s an introvert’s dream and an extrovert’s nightmare.
Don’t give up hope. Don’t give in to fear. Put your faith and hope in the one true God!
In the words of Cyril Ramaphosa…
“I call on all of us, one and all, to play our part.
To be courageous, to be patient, and above all, to show compassion.
Let us never despair.
For we are a nation at one, and we will surely prevail.
May God protect our people.
Nkosi Sikelel’ iAfrika. Morena boloka setjhaba sa heso.
God seën Suid-Afrika. God bless South Africa.”
